CEPALCO ENERGY SERVICES CORPORATION (CESCO) is a company engaged in the distribution of high quality kWh meters, meter sockets, cut-outs, distribution transformers, current and potential transformers, automatic circuit re-closers, test equipment and a wide range of other transmission and distribution equipment and hardware. CESCO is the authorized distributor of General Electric (GE) for kWh meters and Cooper Power Systems™ automatic circuit re-closers, power capacitors, automatic voltage regulators and switch gear in the Philippines. CESCO provides excellent after-sales service to its clients composed of electric cooperatives, private distribution utilities, private and government corporations nationwide. It is the authorized service center of Cooper Power Systems in the Philippines CESCO is into energy efficiency services such as system loss reduction projects, energy surveys, audits and feasibility studies. Its Energy Services Division (ESD) constructs transmission lines up to 138kV, does sub-station installation, substation repair-calibration, including the rental of heavy equipment. The division has an excellent service track record having constructed and repaired several substations all over the country and has constructed several kilometers of transmission and sub-transmission lines. CESCO provides for the varied needs of the energy industry in the Philippines.


MINDANAO ENERGY SYSTEMS, INC. (MINERGY) is an Independent Power Producer [IPP] established in 1992 to address the crippling power supply crisis in Mindanao. It was granted accreditation by the Philippine Government as a private sector generating facility with a capacity of 50MW. MINERGY is the first IPP in the region to sell directly to a private distribution utility. MINERGY has an 18.9 Megawatt Sulzer Diesel Power Plant, an all located at Barangay Tablon in Cagayan de Oro City. MINERGY also owns a 7.0 MW Hydroelectric Power Plant by Bubunawan Power Company Inc. (BPC) located along the Bubunawan River Valley between the towns of Libona and Baungon, both in Bukidnon province, approximately 25 kilometers south of Cagayan de Oro. BPC was established on March 28, 1996 for the purpose of constructing, owning and operating a 7.0 MW mini-hydroelectric power plant that would generate electricity for the franchise area of the Cagayan Electric Power & Light Company [CEPALCO]. Project construction started on January 1997 and was completed on July 2001. After successfully completing tests and commissioning works, the plant started commercial operations on September 2001. BPC is one of the first to be certified by the Department of Energy [DOE] as a mini-hydroelectric power developer under the Mini-Hydro Law [RA 7156] of 1991. MINERGY also has an 8.0 MW Cabulig Hydro Plant, a run-of-river type hydropower facility located in Plaridel, Claveria, Misamis Oriental.
