CEPALCO’s Family Welfare Committee (FWC) is one of the pioneers and founding members of the Federation of Family Welfare Committees of Region X (FFWC-10) dedicated to promote and maintain a stable and sound industrial peace through harmonious labor-management relations, and to serve as an effective forum for dialogue and mutual assistance for the holistic betterment of the quality of life of the employees in particular and to uphold and strengthen inter-family relationships in general.

The said program complies with Article 134 of the Philippine Labor Code and its implementing rules which require establishments employing 200 or more workers to put up or maintain a clinic or infirmary that shall provide free family planning services to their employees. Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Department Order 56-03 modified the priorities of the FWP, shifted the program’s focus to providing family welfare services to workers from its original thrust of promoting family CEPALCO planning.

The FWC is also active in representing the company in various community involvement projects such as tree planting and Habitat for Humanity’s house building for Sendong victims.
